My life as a photographer is a journey of discovery. A journey beginning long before the digital age, and continuing long into the future (I hope). This is a journey filled with discovery. Discovering relationships between people, the world we share, and myself, draws me forward into new experiences. I strive for a moment where some hidden truth lights a subjects face, an expression of joy animates a child, or the unseen becomes visible in a certain quality of light.

I too share this point of mind! Photography allows me to see things through another’s eyes, as I often like to photograph from the perspective of an animal or bug…and the resulting photographs are amazing! Rather than being the person who is the center of attention, I would be much more content to be the one who “documents the day,” as I like to call it, or rather, capture an event and the emotions evoked from this event through photographs. My love for photography does not seem to have any direct corrilation to a specific event or personal experience, but I believe it has been passed down through my famliy, as a form of art, and evidentally from my Grandfather-Donald Deyo! Thank you for your support and words of encouragement in relation to my photography! I love you Grandpa! And keep up the great work! You are amazing! : )
